DIY decorative candles with sweet Cookie flavor
These HANDMADE decorative candles are a sensual blend of luxurious scents of creamy glaze, vanilla, cinnamon and enchanting jasmine.
And for a smooth, organic transition from one color to another, the craftsmen have their own little trick. To do this, fill in each subsequent color layer without waiting for the previous one to completely solidify.
The following candle making tools and materials will be useful for you to make a sweet candle at home:
- The base for making candles in red or burgundy color.
- The wax base is milky or beige in color.
- Aromatic oils – "Vanilla", "Cinnamon", "Fudge" or "Jasmine".
- You can also diversify the flavor by adding "Chocolate", "Ginger" or "Cocoa" scents to the main aromatic oils.
- A mold for a future candle.
- A flagellum for the wick.
- A stick (preferably wooden) for mixing the liquid base.
In order for a decorative candle to turn out to be beautiful and elegant with your own hands, you must strictly adhere to the following rules in the process of your creativity:
- Finely chop with our hands or cut the candle base. This moment is very important and necessary for the rapid melting of the wax mass.
- We fix the wick correctly and securely in the shape we have chosen. For this type of candles, it is recommended to use flat, wide shapes to achieve a more complete resemblance to cookies.
- In a convenient container, we put a water bath on a small fire. After boiling the water, carefully pour the pre-cut candle base into the steamed container. For the first layer, choose red or burgundy color.
- Carefully stir the melting mass with a wooden stick. At the same time, we carefully ensure that no lumps form on the surface of the liquid base.
- Add 10 drops of the selected aromatic oil to the liquid mass. We continue to melt and actively mix the base.
- Carefully pour the burgundy-red base into the mold.
- Melt the next color, milky or beige. Add Vanilla aromatic oil to the base, mixed to taste with any of the above-suggested aromatic options.
- Mix the resulting mass and carefully pour it over the first layer that has not yet solidified.
- After the natural mixing of the multi–colored bases, we transfer the candle to a cool place and let it settle for at least one night.
